The return of--the blog

For more than 10 years, SEED 415 students put together homepages. A homepage might still be useful, but there are lots of other tools that might suit your classroom purposes better. Please go to blogger and create on blog on a social science topic of your choice.  Please add a comment here giving the URL of your blog.

After you have finished creating your "dummy" blog, check out some of the resources listed as part of your technology assignment.  Which of these resources are you most likely to use in the classroom?

I definitely liked using the archives page. There is so much information that is useful. I also really liked using the real clear politics page. It makes everything so simple and it is not biased.

  3. I too enjoyed the archives page for the Wayback Machine internet archives. As well as real clear politics. Looks like a pretty useful site.

I liked using the Way Back Machine, I was amazed at it's archives. The page showing clear cut politics in action was useful for me as I can get two side to an issue without to much nonsense. Biases are not strong as it is a neutral page, unlike Fox News and CNN. As far as the cartoon site I might utilize it. These were great resources that I had no prior knowledge of.

I also liked the archives and Real Clear Politics. I have been on Real Clear Politics before, but forgot about it and didn't know about Real Clear History and the other divisions.

With a political science minor and being a debate coach Real Clear Politics was probably my favorite option off the technology assignment. I think there are a variety of really useful ways to use the site for both Political Science and for debate finding useful information and statistics that are easily understandable and relevant. I think using WayBack Machine as a supplement to go back and look at Real Clear Politics as well will be very useful to me now and in the future as a teacher.
